01 Independent Business Advisory
Prosper helps business owners identify what’s holding their companies back, make better decisions, and turn practical improvements into lasting results.
We work alongside entrepreneurs to understand business challenges, develop workable solutions, and support your team as it puts them into practice, without adding unnecessary complexity or taking over day-to-day operations.
02 The real constraints
Growth is good news, but it puts pressure on how a business runs. Processes, roles, reporting and decision-making that worked at an earlier size can start to strain, and the strain often shows up as long hours, thinning margins or plans that don’t stick.
Decisions, approvals, problems and key customers all land on your desk. The business works, but only while you’re in it. That caps growth and wears you down.
Revenue grows, but margins thin and cash stays tight. Without clear numbers, it’s hard to see which work makes money and where it leaks out.
Spreadsheets, workarounds and habits that worked at half the size now create rework, delays and mistakes. Everyone is busy; not everything gets done well.
Priorities are clear in January and forgotten by March. The idea is rarely the problem. Ownership, follow-through and accountability usually are.
03 Our philosophy
Our goal is to leave every business better equipped to operate, improve, and succeed independently.
That’s why your team owns the work at every stage. We diagnose, design and plan with you, then advise, review progress and help clear obstacles while your people put improvements into practice. Each cycle leaves more capability in the business.
Find what’s really holding the business back.
We look at how the business makes money, where time and cash go, how decisions get made and where work slows down, using your numbers, your processes and conversations with the people doing the work.
Develop solutions that fit how you work.
Not every problem deserves attention now. We weigh impact, effort, risk and cash, develop practical options for the few changes that matter, and agree with you on what comes first.
Turn decisions into a plan people own.
Each priority becomes a short action plan: who owns it, what done looks like, milestones, and the measures that will show whether it’s working.
Your team puts it into practice.
Your managers and staff make the changes and run the business. Prosper advises at your regular sessions, helps work through problems that come up, and checks that priorities stay on track. The level of contact between sessions is set out in your proposal.
Check results, adjust, and go again.
At regular progress reviews we look at what changed, what the numbers say and what’s stuck, then adjust the plan and choose the next priority. With each cycle, more of this rhythm runs on its own.
Business ReviewThis is usually where we start. Diagnose and Design together form the Business Review: a standalone piece of work, scoped to your business and agreed in writing.
Business ReviewThe Review ends with a prioritized roadmap. You decide what happens next: an Advisory Partnership, acting on it yourselves, or simply keeping the findings.
Advisory PartnershipThis is where an Advisory Partnership usually begins: a 90-day action plan your team owns.
Advisory PartnershipNeed more intensive help on one specific item, such as a reporting model or a process redesign? That’s an Improvement Project, scoped and agreed separately.
Advisory PartnershipAt agreed intervals we review the partnership itself: continue, lighten the cadence, or step back. The aim is a business that needs outside help less, not more.
Every business is different, and the owner’s role always matters. These are the outcomes we work toward, not guarantees.
04 How we help
Start with a focused Business Review. Continue as an Advisory Partnership if it makes sense. Add an Improvement Project only when one specific change needs more intensive help.
